Matthew Jacobs is an Analyst at Five G Capital Partners, contributing to the firm's excellence through his extensive background in private markets, investment banking, and venture capital. He is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Economics at the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School, with dual concentrations in Finance and Accounting and minors in Computer Science, Legal Studies and History. A Penn World Scholar, Matthew combines analytical acumen with a global perspective developed through experiences across the U.S., Europe, and Africa.

Matthew has gained extensive experience through internships with Cercano Management, Five G Capital Partners, and VentureWave Capital, where he developed a strong foundation in private markets. At Cercano Management, he worked on evaluating both private credit and private equity investment opportunities and supporting high-value transactions, while at Dublin-based VentureWave Capital he was exposed to European cleantech and climate-focused early stage investments. At Five G Capital Partners, he has contributed to major sell-side engagements, demonstrating his analytical and strategic expertise. These experiences have equipped Matthew with a well-rounded skill set and a deep understanding of complex financial and investment processes.

 

Matthew’s academic accolades include the Andrew H. Madoff Scholarship and recognition for academic excellence in South Africa, where he ranked among the top few students nationally in multiple disciplines. At the University of Pennsylvania, he is actively involved in organizations such as the Wharton Hedge Fund Club and Wharton Undergraduate Finance Club.
